Hamilton, Bermuda (1 March, 2018) – Hiscox Re Insurance Linked Strategies, the ILS asset management arm of Hiscox, has appointed Dr Ben Fox to its Bermuda-based ILS investment team as Portfolio Manager, subject to Bermuda immigration approval.
Ben joins Hiscox Re ILS from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where he served as Principal of Insurance-Linked Securities since July 2014. In this role he co-managed the Plan’s ILS portfolio, responsible for all analytics including portfolio construction and optimization capabilities. Ben holds a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences and a PhD in Seismology from the University of Oxford.
