Conceived as a team building a fundraising event, the inaugural ride dubbed ‘Hiscox Re-Cycle’, saw Hiscox Re & ILS’ Hamilton-based employees complete the 62-mile loop of the island by bicycle. London-based employees completed a 58-mile bicycle ride from the capital to Brighton Beach on the south coast of England. Employees were also invited to participate in the event through a variety of individual runs, walks, and rides. In all, more than 30 employees joined the effort, raising funds which were matched by the Hiscox Foundation. The Bermuda-based charities supported by the fundraiser are the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and the Bermuda Paralympic Association.
